Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize
Winner of the ninth annual Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize announced

The winner of the latest Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize, announced by judge Heather McHugh on March 9th 2014, is Geoffrey Brock's Voices Bright Flags. Mr Brock, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, receives a purse of $3,000, and his collection will be published by Waywiser on November 17th 2014, when he and Ms McHugh will give a joint reading at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington D.C.

Launch of Shelley Puhak's Guinevere in Baltimore, winner of the eighth Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize, at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C., on November 18th 2013. Shelley was introduced by the judge, Charles Simic, and the two poets took it in turn to read from their work.
